I have ordered several different CAOs from US - all great, and no issues. CAOs are a good cigar.
Your right about costing cheaper from US even if taxed.
I too no nothing about Australian suplies of CAOs.

most likely the ageing and reting of the tobacco wasnt sufficient - can happen to anyone if you smoke a cigar not properly prepared.

i havent had that particular Romeo y Juliette,
but i do enjoy a Romeo y Julieta Vintage IV. Toasty, creamy, buttery. Really easy on the palate, but not flat.

funnily enough i share your views on cubans.
From talking to retailers, cubans generally are a tighter draw than a domenican or nicagraguan. In my limited smoking experience, i think this to be the case.
